1 June 2011 Board publishes new Freedom of Information Publication Scheme – The Scottish Legal Aid Board has adopted the Model Publication Scheme 2011 produced by the Scottish Information Commissioner. 25 May 2011 The Board are inviting applications from criminal solicitors to participate in new Police Station Duty Plans which are being set up to run from 4 July 2011. Full details and an application form can be obtained here. The closing date for applications is 5.00pm on Wednesday 8 June 2011.

Iain A. Robertson, CBE, Chairman of the Scottish Legal Aid Board said, “I am delighted at the reappointments of Joseph Hughes, Les Campbell and Denise Loney. The members have made valuable contributions to the work of the Board and their continuity will allow us to benefit from the wealth of expertise they bring to the strategic management of legal aid in Scotland.” Read the Scottish Government’s news release.
