How to download Adobe Reader

You will need Adobe Reader (formerly called Adobe Acrobat Reader) to view and print any of our publications. We use PDF (Portable Document Format) in preference to HTML, as PDF files are identical in appearance to the printed, paper version.

Adobe Reader is a free application you can download from Adobe's website, with versions available for a wide range of operating systems. Use Adobe's Web site if you require a specific version of Adobe (Acrobat) Reader. You should have version 6 or later of Adobe Reader on your computer to use our materials.

If you are unable to download Adobe Reader software, it may be because you are behind a corporate firewall which stops you from downloading programs. If so, contact your network administrator and ask if they can provide you with Adobe Reader.

Visually impaired persons may use Access.Adobe.Com as a tool to read documents in PDF format. It converts PDF files into simple HTML or ASCII text that can then be read by a number of common screen reading programs that synthesize the HTML as audible speech. Please go to http://access.adobe.com for more information.
